Women's shirt with a free cut, made in the Mix media technique. In one shirt you can see two products. The right side of the shirt is in a more restrained style, the left side is with brighter colors and a floral print. The floral fabric is a recycled fabric from my Great Aunt Greta's dress. I previously posted this dress, and finally I used it in recycling. This fabric is very difficult to combine with other materials, as it is very strong and bright in itself. But I noticed in it the predominance of purple and the background, and in the right (more restrained) part of the shirt I also used purple.
The right side of the shirt is made up of several recycled materials. The collar and front are printed fabrics that I created in the Aalto University studio. A piece of gingham fabric is a remnant of the fabric of my friend Eleanor. And the yoke is made from recycled denim. The right sleeve also consists of a combination of dense black silk and printed fabric.

The stitched on pocket on the left side is made of the leather (also leftovers from previous projects). Also on this pocket you can see a print - this print is made using the technique of sublimation printing. On the left sleeve you can see another print "My sympathies are on the side of ordinary people" - this text is taken from the archives of my mother, and is a cutting from a newspaper from the 80s. The background of this print is a photograph from my archives.

Men's shirt with a loose fit. This product was made as an attempt to translate the image of the legendary 80s rocker Viktor Tsoi through clothes. The shirt uses a print portrait of Viktor Tsoi, drawn by the designer in 2016. The pattern for this shirt is taken from a piece that belonged to her grandfather, who died in 2001. She wanted to replicate one of the pieces that he often wore and pair it with the image of an idol that I admire. Also she used a letter stencil print that belonged to her grandfather. He was an engineer and used this stencil in his work. The rest of the fabrics are leftovers from previous orders and fabrics from her grandmother's archive. On the shirt collar, you can find a defect in the fabric in the form of a white spot. She decided to specifically use this fabric, since the spot from afar looks like a white badge. Viktor Tsoi liked to wear badges on his clothes. Also, all the buttons used in this product were taken from her grandmother's archive.
9 fabrics were used to create this product. Each fabric has its own history and character. Instead of getting rid of these materials, I made the decision to recycle them in a new project. This product was completely created by the designer and is handmade.
